It was tough to break the news to our families but after several years of trying we found we lacked the mechanical skills. Our families were disappointed at first, but understood that our desire to follow in the steps of our forefathers and become plumbers was merely a pipe dream.

One thing we did realize over the many years of trying the profession was how many comments we got on our t-shirts. It didn't matter what the job was or what the weather was like outside, t-shirts constantly covered our backs. We even think that's how the rumor started in town, that between us we had enough shirts to wear a different one a day for the next 8 years. It was that love of shirts that got us thinking. We wear shirts all the time, and we talk shirt all the time, so why not create our own shirts to sell and make a little money. So that's how this idea of a shirt company came about, but what were we going to do for a name?

The first thing we thought of while we were racking our brains was to honor the family trade. We grew up ankle deep in shit, we constantly talked shit, why not name our company Big Pile Of Shirt! The logo instantly popped into our heads to what you see today. An homage to our family legacy. So if you're blue collar or white, tall or short, skinny or chubby, buy a shirt, two or three from us.
